An attack by Israeli settlers who entered a home in the West Bank city of Hebron injured three Palestinians, including two children.
The incident took place on Friday in the Hallet al-Humus area south of Yatta. The people inside the home were exposed to pepper spray.
Casualties from settler attacks in the West Bank
According to data from the Palestinian Commission of Resistance to the Wall and Settlements, 25 Palestinians were killed in the West Bank as a result of settler attacks from the beginning of 2026 through August 21.
Clashes also broke out in the Ramallah and al-Bireh area after Israeli forces raided the village of Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah. Israeli forces used live ammunition and tear gas during clashes with Palestinians; no one was injured.
Movement restrictions around Ramallah
Settlers also entered the Jabal Rashinya area in the village of Deir Abu Mashal, west of Ramallah. The Israeli army set up a military checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, blocking the passage of Palestinians and vehicles.
Since the start of the war in Gaza on October 8, 2023, attacks by the Israeli army and settlers have increased in the West Bank. During the same period, the expansion of settlements, the establishment of new settlement outposts, the opening of roads and increased restrictions on Palestinian movement continued.
