Attacks took place around Jerusalem and Hebron in the West Bank as Palestinian farmers harvested olives and worked in cactus fields. Several farmers were injured.
Olive pickers confronted in Beit Iksa
Palestinian farmers picking olives on land in the village of Beit Iksa, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, were attacked by Israeli settlers.
The Palestinian official news agency reported that settlers from a nearby settlement confronted villagers in the area. The Israeli army also arrived to protect the settlers and used live ammunition and tear gas against the villagers.
Israeli forces detained Palestinian Muhammad Sadr, who was reportedly attacked and beaten.
Cactus fields attacked in Khirbet Suba
In Khirbet Suba, south of Hebron, armed settlers entered cactus fields and attacked Palestinian farmers. Several farmers suffered various injuries and bruises from beatings during the attack.

A Palestinian rights organization said the Israeli army prevented an ambulance carrying medical assistance to the injured from reaching the area.
Attacks on farmers reach 409
The Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission said Friday that it had documented 21 attacks by the Israeli army and settlers targeting Palestinian farmers and agricultural land in the West Bank.
In an earlier statement, the commission said 409 attacks targeting olive farmers, their trees, land and agricultural equipment had been recorded between October 1 and 21. It said settlers had carried out 317 of the attacks and the Israeli army 92.
Palestinians say attacks have increased in the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem since the war in Gaza began in October 2023. The attacks include killings, arrests, the demolition of homes and other structures, the burning of mosques and vehicles, the destruction of agricultural land, preventing farmers from accessing their fields and the displacement of Palestinian communities.
The Palestinian side warns that these practices could pave the way for Israel to formally annex the West Bank. Such a move would weaken the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state in line with United Nations resolutions.
