Russia extended the ban on gasoline exports to ensure stability in the domestic fuel market. According to the government's decision, the temporary ban on gasoline and diesel exports has been extended until January 31, 2027. The official statement emphasized that the decision was taken to maintain price stability in the domestic market.
Exports of diesel, marine fuel, and gas oil by producers will be exempt from these restrictions starting September 1. Additionally, shipments carried out under international intergovernmental agreements will also be excluded from the ban.
In Russia, many facilities have been taken offline for maintenance due to attacks by Ukrainian drones on oil refineries, while fuel sales restrictions are being applied in some regions of the country. The Russian government had previously banned gasoline and diesel exports as part of precautionary measures.
