A delegation from the Turkish-Iraqi Business Council, affiliated with Türkiye's Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), met Iraqi Ministry of Oil Undersecretary Nasser Aziz Jabbar in the presence of the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad during the delegation's visit to the Iraqi capital.

The two sides discussed opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the oil sector, the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad announced.
Direct business-to-business meetings
As part of the visit's program, a business-to-business (B2B) meeting was also held in Baghdad, bringing together numerous Turkish and Iraqi companies and enabling their representatives to communicate directly and discuss opportunities for cooperation.

The meetings are part of a tour of Iraq by the Business Council delegation, which also included Erbil, Kirkuk and Mosul. During the tour, the delegation met Iraqi Transport Minister Wahab al-Hasani in Baghdad to discuss cooperation in transportation and regional connectivity.
Partnership in the energy sector
The two countries are linked by the Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline, which transports Iraqi oil to Türkiye's Mediterranean port of Ceyhan. Türkiye is also one of Iraq's leading trading partners.
