Dialogue surrounding the Morocco-Türkiye Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CTCIM), established to promote investment, joint production and stronger links between the business communities of Türkiye and Morocco, continued. The Embassy of Türkiye in Rabat hosted Sonia Mezzour, president of the Moroccan Confederation of Exporters (ASMEX).
The meeting featured a productive exchange of views, and Mezzour was thanked for her kind visit. It continued the Türkiye-Morocco private-sector dialogue that began at the CTCIM launch through diplomatic and institutional channels.

CTCIM aims to promote investment and joint production
CTCIM was officially launched on September 8, 2026, in Casablanca, Morocco. The launch was attended by Türkiye's Ambassador to Rabat İlker Kılıç, ASMEX President Sonia Mezzour, General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises President Mehdi Tazi, and representatives of various trade and industry organizations.
The new structure aims to bring together the private sectors of Türkiye and Morocco to develop investment, production and commercial ties. CTCIM's management seeks to build bridges between the business communities of the two countries and increase mutually beneficial business opportunities through new partnerships.
The launch highlighted the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Türkiye and Morocco and the 20th anniversary of the Free Trade Agreement. The participation of representatives from the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, ASMEX, FENELEC and the Casablanca-Settat Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services broadened CTCIM's institutional framework.
Morocco aims to expand into third-country markets
ASMEX emphasizes that Türkiye-Morocco economic relations should not be limited to trade volume. It highlights the development of Turkish investments in Morocco, the strengthening of joint-production opportunities and the joint expansion of products made in Morocco into third-country markets.
This approach presents Morocco not only as an export market but also as a production hub serving international markets. Ambassador İlker Kılıç also said he expected CTCIM to contribute to developing new partnerships and investments between Turkish and Moroccan companies.
