Türkiye's Somalia task force renovates five classrooms in Mogadishu
The command of Türkiye's task force in Somalia completed the maintenance and renovation of five classrooms at Mahmoud Hilouli School in the capital, Mogadishu, and provided the school with 75 student desks and educational supplies, Türkiye's Ministry of National Defence said.
Türkiye's Ministry of National Defence announced that the command of Türkiye's task force in Somalia had completed maintenance, repair and renovation work on five classrooms at Mahmoud Hilouli School in the capital, Mogadishu, and that they had been reopened.
The Turkish force provided the school with 75 student desks, five teachers' desks and five teachers' chairs, as well as classroom materials and various educational supplies.
Ongoing support for education
The ministry said the work was part of the educational support activities that the command of Türkiye's task force in Somalia continues to carry out.
The Turkish command in Mogadishu hosts Türkiye's largest military base abroad. Opened on September 30, 2017, it trains Somali army personnel.
