Erdoğan meets Turkic States secretary general ahead of Ankara summit
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Organization of Turkic States Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev at the presidential complex in Ankara, days before Türkiye hosts the organization’s 13th summit on October 29 and 30.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Organization of Turkic States Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev at the presidential complex in the capital Ankara on Thursday, October 22, the Turkish Presidency said.
The meeting came days before the 13th summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which Ankara will host on October 29 and 30. Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed preparations for the summit with Omuraliev last September.
The organization’s members are Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, while Hungary, Turkmenistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have observer status.
