Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf addressed the U.S. administration and the American people, saying a possible war with Iran would bring no benefit to Washington.
Ghalibaf said such a conflict would have severe consequences for the United States. He said those who believe the war would benefit the country were mistaken, adding that American citizens did not have to choose the path of war.
Warning of at least 10 negative consequences
Ghalibaf said a possible war could cause a collapse in stock markets and lead to the loss of fighter jets. The Iranian Parliament speaker also warned that public debt and inflation could rise and that the number of U.S. soldiers killed could increase.
Ghalibaf said these consequences would deal a heavy blow to American society, adding that those who made such a decision would have to face the consequences.

“All the pills are black” analogy
The Iranian Parliament speaker called on Americans to assess the current situation critically and abandon a fruitless conflict.
“All ten pills are bad. There is neither a red pill nor a blue pill here; they are all pitch black. You do not have to take any of them, but if you do, you will have taken them all at once. Tear down the Matrix that has been built and get rid of it.”
