The Palestinian Commission for Wall and Settlement Resistance recorded 12 incidents in the occupied West Bank during the olive harvest. The commission said the incidents were carried out by settlers and the Israeli army.
According to the commission, the incidents occurred on Wednesday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the governorates of Ramallah and al-Bireh, Hebron, Nablus, Salfit and Jenin. Fourteen foreign volunteers were detained, while some farmers were beaten and injured by pepper spray and tear gas.
Fourteen foreign volunteers detained
In the town of Kafr Malik in the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, settlers monitored farmers picking olives and allowed their animals to graze on agricultural land.
In the village of West Lubban, northwest of Ramallah, farmers and foreign volunteers picking olives were expelled from the fields. The commission said settlers detained 14 foreign volunteers and took the phones belonging to the volunteers, after which Israeli police called to the area detained all of them.
Farmers injured, produce and trees damaged
In the Jabal al-Arma area of the town of Beita in the Nablus governorate, settlers entered agricultural land and prevented residents from reaching their own fields. Farmers in their olive groves were also attacked in the Jaraa area of the town of Jamma'in.
In one of these incidents, a farmer and his family were beaten, and the farmer sustained a head injury. The commission also said other farmers were injured after being beaten and exposed to pepper spray and tear gas.
Olives were stolen from trees belonging to the Palestinian Ahmed Aksh al-Hurayni near the city of Yatta in the southern Hebron governorate. Some trees in the same area were also broken and damaged.

Olives were stolen from fields in the Wadi al-Ahmar area between the towns of Marda and Yasuf in the Salfit governorate. According to the commission, a farmer who noticed the settlers during the theft was shot with live ammunition.
Agricultural land plowed in Jenin
In the northwest of the Jenin governorate, forces affiliated with the Israeli army continued plowing agricultural land between the villages of Tura and Umm Dar.
The commission argued that the growing number of incidents was part of military and settler violence preventing farmers from reaching their land and benefiting from their produce. It said the use of live ammunition, plowing of land and destruction of trees increased the direct threat to farmers and foreign volunteers.
According to the commission, these practices cause economic and environmental damage while turning temporary land loss into the risk of prolonged exclusion and the permanent removal of farmers from their fields.
Operations and detentions in the West Bank
According to Palestinian data, the Israeli army has increased its operations in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since the war in the Gaza Strip began in October 2023. The data also indicated an increase in settler attacks against Palestinians during the same period.
According to the data, more than 1,220 Palestinians were killed, approximately 13,350 were injured and more than 26,000 were detained in attacks and operations in the West Bank.
