The Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Damascus announced Sunday that the e-visa system for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, applicable to citizens of the Syrian Arab Republic, has entered into force as part of arrangements adopted by the authorities of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
In an announcement published in Turkish and Arabic, the embassy explained that Syrian citizens wishing to travel to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus must first apply for an e-visa through the official website designated for this purpose before traveling. The website is included in the text of the announcement below.

Last August, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Prime Minister Ünal Üstel announced the launch of the e-visa system alongside an electronic system for monitoring entries and exits, with the aim of combating irregular migration and enhancing public security. He said at the time that the e-visa would initially cover citizens of Syria, Nigeria and Armenia, replacing the consular visa previously required for those citizens.
In a related development, the Turkish Embassy in Damascus announced last August the removal of the air-travel requirement for Syrian citizens holding Turkish visas, allowing valid visas issued by Turkish missions to be used at all land crossings as well.
