Atatürk and Turkish flag drawings adorn Türkiye school’s Republic Day celebration in Qatar

The Turkish School in Qatar hosted an exhibition of drawings featuring the republic’s founder, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and the Turkish flag as part of a Republic Day celebration attended by Turkish Ambassador Yakup Ceymazoğlu and his wife.

Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Qatar Yakup Ceymazoğlu and his wife, Meral Ceymazoğlu, attended a celebration held at the Turkish School in Qatar for the Republic of Türkiye’s Republic Day, the Turkish Embassy in Doha said.

Drawing exhibition at the school

Photos released by the embassy showed an exhibition of drawings mounted on boards inside the school, including a pencil drawing of the republic’s founder, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and colored works featuring the Turkish flag and the words “29 October” in Turkish. Attendees toured the exhibition and viewed the displayed works.

103rd anniversary of the republic’s proclamation

Türkiye marks the anniversary of the proclamation of the republic in 1923 every year on October 29. This year marks the 103rd anniversary.

The Turkish Embassy in Doha had also held a reception for the occasion attended by senior guests and representatives of diplomatic missions. The event featured musical performances, while the embassy building was illuminated in the colors of the Turkish flag.
