Türkiye's embassy in Cairo received a group of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip on Sunday at the ambassador's residence in the Egyptian capital, describing the guests as “victims of the genocide in Gaza.”
Photos published by the embassy showed the residence's hall filled with Palestinian families of various ages, including children and injured people using crutches and wheelchairs, alongside embassy officials seated in the front row.

A meeting away from protocol
The meeting took place in an informal atmosphere. The ambassador took commemorative photos with the guests in front of the residence's staircase and spoke with the women and children who survived the war and arrived in Egypt in recent months.
Egypt is hosting thousands of Palestinians who left Gaza to receive medical treatment or accompany wounded relatives, while Türkiye continues to send humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip through Egyptian territory, particularly via the port of Al-Arish.
A steadfast Turkish position
Ankara describes what the Gaza Strip has experienced as genocide and calls for those responsible to be held accountable, a permanent ceasefire, and the unhindered entry of aid. It also supports the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
