Two airstrikes carried out in the Gaza Strip on Thursday night destroyed two homes in the northern Safetavi neighborhood and the Bureij Refugee Camp in central Gaza. Dozens of Palestinian families lost their homes as a result.
Evacuation warning issued in Safetavi
In Safetavi, a neighborhood in northern Gaza City, an airstrike destroyed a home after an evacuation warning was issued for the surrounding residential block.
Witnesses said a resident received a phone call from Israeli intelligence ordering the evacuation of the residential block near the Yasin Water Treatment Station. Residents were given only a few minutes to evacuate, forcing dozens of families to leave their homes in the darkness of night.
Panicking before the strike, the families left their shelters behind and fled the area.
Five-story home destroyed in Bureij
A residential building in the Bureij Refugee Camp was also targeted after an evacuation warning was issued for the residential area around Block 7.

The five-story building was completely destroyed, while homes and buildings in the surrounding area sustained extensive damage. No deaths or injuries were recorded in the two attacks.
However, the areas surrounding the targeted homes sustained extensive damage, leaving dozens of families without shelter.
Gaza death toll
The attacks took place amid allegations of violations of the ceasefire agreement, which has reportedly been in effect since October 10, 2025.
Palestinian sources said more than 74,000 Palestinians had been killed and more than 175,000 injured in Israel’s attacks on Gaza since October 2023. The same sources said about 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure had been destroyed.
