The Turkish Consulate General in Dubai began its celebrations marking the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic on the evening of October 31 with a tennis tournament titled “October 29 Tennis Gathering,” held at Emirates Golf Club.
Footage from the tournament shows male and female players wearing blue shirts bearing the Republic Day logo, competing on the green courts before receiving their medals in front of the Emirati and Turkish flags.
Motorcycle tour through Dubai’s streets
On November 1, the consulate held the event’s official ceremony at the residence of the consul general, alongside the “Dubai Motorcycle Tour for the 103rd Anniversary,” in which riders traveled in a procession through the city’s streets.

After the tour, the consulate team met students, teachers and Turkish citizens at a Republic Day celebration organized by the “Turkish Language Hours in Dubai” school. The day concluded with a screening of “1881 Atatürk: Birth of a Leader,” which recounts Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s life from childhood to leadership.

Thanks to local companies
The consulate thanked all citizens and guests who took part in the events, musician Edin Arslan Türk for his performance during the celebrations, and Trolies Market, Turkuaz Gourmet and Mahmoud Tea for their generous contributions to the hospitality. The consulate compiled footage from the days of celebration into a video.
Turks celebrate Republic Day every year on October 29 to commemorate the proclamation of the Turkish Republic in 1923.
