Pianist Rüya Taner, a State Artist of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus known internationally, performed a special musical evening titled ‘Fresh Waters of Asia’ in Doha. The event was organized by the Turkish Embassy in Qatar in cooperation with Katara Cultural Village.
The evening brought echoes of the historic Silk Road to Doha’s music audience. The embassy thanked the Representative Office of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Doha and the artist Taner for their contributions to the success of the event.

Türkiye’s Ambassador to Qatar Yakup Ceymazoğlu attended the evening and delivered a speech, which was also attended by a large audience.
Taner previously performed selections from the ‘Fresh Waters of Asia’ program at an evening held at the Turkish Embassy in Cairo in November 2025. That program featured works by composers including Glinka, Borodin, Fazıl Say, Dede Efendi, Vasif Adıgözəlov and Aziza Mustafa Zadeh, the Turkish Cypriot News Agency reported.
