Türkiye’s embassy in the Afghan capital, Kabul, hosted a reception for Türkiye’s Republic Day on October 29, marking the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the republic.
The embassy said Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Dr. Mohammad Naeem delivered a speech at the reception highlighting the importance of relations between Türkiye and Afghanistan.

Officials, diplomats and UN agencies
The embassy said the reception brought together Afghan officials, representatives of diplomatic missions and United Nations agencies, as well as staff members of Turkish institutions affiliated with the embassy and Turkish citizens. It added that it shared the pride of the 103rd anniversary of the republic with its guests.
Photos released by the embassy show a wreath of red and white flowers shaped like a crescent and star placed beside the podium. Guests stood as they listened to the speeches, before Afghan officials and Turkish diplomats posed for a group photograph in the embassy garden.
Video released days after the reception
The embassy released a video on Sunday documenting the reception, including footage of guests being welcomed at the embassy entrance, informal conversations between Afghan officials and members of the diplomatic corps, and groups of invitees in the garden.
On Republic Day itself, the embassy had published a message congratulating Türkiye on the 103rd anniversary of the republic, accompanied by photos of its building decorated with Turkish flags.
