Türkiye Embassy in Pretoria marks 103rd Republic anniversary with reception
South African officials, diplomatic mission representatives and Turkish citizens attended a reception hosted by Türkiye’s Embassy in Pretoria for Republic Day on October 29.
Türkiye’s Embassy in Pretoria hosted a reception on October 29 to mark the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye and Republic Day.
South African officials, diplomatic mission representatives, Turkish citizens and numerous other guests attended the reception.
Guests gather to mark the proclamation of the Republic
The embassy said the reception marking the anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic brought together South African officials, members of the diplomatic corps, citizens and other guests.
Speeches were delivered in front of the Turkish and South African flags during the outdoor reception. The guests listened to the speeches while standing. Children attending the celebration also took commemorative photos while holding red balloons featuring a star and crescent.
